Chef Taylor

GRETA Bar YEG Executive Chef

I want to share something that is universal and that we all love.

Chef Taylor started in the industry when he was 13 years old at Tony Roma’s in Lethbridge, AB as a dishwasher. He quickly fell in love with the pressure and chaos of a hospitality service life along with industry friends he’d soon come to call¬† family.

After 4 1/2 years there, Chef Taylor moved on to the Cheesecake Cafe, transitioning between there and their sister company, Firestone Restaurant.

During his 4 1/2 years between the 2 business’s Chef completed his culinary apprenticeship, travelled to Europe for a culinary exchange, transitioned from a line cook to management and eventually to the Executive Chef¬†position of the Cheesecake Cafe.

Shortly after a tragic fire at the Cheesecake Cafe, Chef took a stab at camp life, saving for a wedding. Not long after, Chef came back from camps and began his career at Hudsons Canada’s Pub where he resided as a Chef at their Lethbridge location for 3 years before moving to Edmonton to open the Downtown 109 location where he would later become the General Manager.

Present day, Chef Taylor is now the Managing Partner & Executive Chef of GRETA Edmonton, taking part in the menu creation along with the day to day operations.
